First Baptist Church of Barnesville is sponsoring a prayer walk around Lamar County public schools the day before school begins, Sunday, Aug. 7, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Prayer walking is simply praying as one walks. The community is invited. Participants will meet in the parking lot of the Fine Arts Center at 6:30 p.m. for some gospel music, lemonade refreshments, and instructions. At 6:45 p.m., they will be given a general prayer list and asked to pick a school around which to pray.
