(1-22)(2)(p) Business Personal Property Review Underway The Lamar County Board of Assessors will begin a review of all 2019 Business Personal Property Tax Returns this year. The Assessors will be assisted in the review process by the firm of Tinker & Associates, Inc. from Savannah, Georgia. Tinker and Associates has been assisting counties in Georgia and other southeastern states in the review and valuation of business personal property for over 25 years. Businesses that own or lease Business Personal Property are required to obtain and submit a Business Personal Property Tax Return and supporting documentation by April 1 of each year. Filing extensions cannot be granted. Business Personal Property includes items such as machinery & equipment, office furniture & equipment, computers, supplies, inventories, etc. as outlined in the Business Personal Property Returns. Individuals are not required to report household items not employed in a business.
