(11-6)(4)(b) Notice of Seizure and Forefeiture State of Georgia vs. Eight Thousand nine hundred thirty ($8930.00) Dollars in United States Currency Case No. 18B-391-W On or about September 14, 2018, on and around Interstate Highway 75 in Lamar County, Georgia, officers of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Department seized the above-listed property. At the date and time of the seizure Jennifer Brown was in constructive possession of the said United States currency. Defendant was travelling in a rented vehicle in the company of a passenger who had a previous conviction for a felony drug offense. In addition, Defendant did not know how much currency was in her purse, and said currency was bundled and in denominations that are consistent with monies used in the drug trade. Further, there was evidence of marijuana use inside Defendant’s vehicle. The above-listed property was used or intended for use, directly or indirectly, to facilitate a violation of Georgia’s controlled substance laws in Lamar County, Georgia, punishable by imprisonment for more than one year, and/or said property was found in close proximity to the aforementioned controlled substances. (11-27)(2)(b) Notice of Seizure and Forfeiture State of Georgia vs. One Thousand eight hundred twenty ($1820.00) Dollars in United Stateds Currency Case No. 18B-401-W On or about September 25, 2018, on and around Interstate Highway 75 in Lamar County, Georgia, officers of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office seied the above-listed property, At the date and time of the seizure Dustin Harrison and Aja Harrison were in possession and constructive possession of the said United States currency. Defendants were travelling on Interstate 75 in Lamar County, Georgia, and were stopped for traffic violations by a Deputy with the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office. The Deputy saw in plain sight what appeared to be a quantity of methamphetamine and conducted a search of the said vehicle, which yielded the above listed property in addition to other items indicative of drug sales. The above listed property was used or inteded for use, directly or indirectly, to facilitate a violation of Georgia’s controlled substance laws in Lamar County, Georgia punishable by imprisonment for more than one year, and/or said property was found in close proximity to a quantity of methamphetamine and other manifestations of drug use and drug trafficking.
