While speaking with the occupants, Deputy Brayton could smell the odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, Johnny Harrington, gave consent to search the vehicle. Both Harrington and Rivers gave conflicting statements about their travel plans and both men were acting in a nervous manner. Deputy Brayton noticed large rectangular objects in the pockets of Rivers’ pants. Rivers stated that the objects were $8,000.00 cash. Rivers took the items from his pockets and the property was $10,000.00 cash which was packaged in banded bundles consistent with that used in drug transactions. Initially, Rivers claimed that the money and its origins were ‘legitimate,’ however, he subsequently disclaimed any knowledge of the money or its owner. Khari Harris was the driver of the vehicle and the front seat passenger was Victavius M. Holland. When speaking with the passenger, Sgt. Brayton noticed loose marijuana on Mr. Holland’s pants and shirt. It also appeared that Mr. Holland had attempted to ingest marijuana because suspected marijuana was in the corner of his mouth. Sgt.
