Despite afternoon showers and overhead clouds yesterday Buggy Days continued on. At 2 p.m. hundreds of community residents and tourists alike lined the streets from College Drive to Forsyth Street and down Main Street to watch almost 100 floats and organizations in the annual Buggy Days parade. As 3 p.m drew near a few sprinkles came from the sky and the faint of heart seemed to be packing up. But by 4 p.m. when the rain really began it seemed that no one had left afterall. The rain proved no match for Buggy Days. The festivities continue today with vendors opening at 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. including some of the south’s best delicacies in the food market. There will also be performing groups at several locations for most of the afternoon.
