Today’s recount of ballots cast in the December 1 runoff election in Barnesville’s Ward four city council race had no impact on the final outcome. Robert Neal Devane remains the winner although his margin of victory shrank by one vote. Larry Whitworth, who requested the recount, picked up one provisional ballot vote not counted last Tuesday. Devane’s revised margin of victory is 112-98.
