In addition to raising money for a very good cause, tonight’s Relay for Life is packed chock full of fun for participants of all ages.The T-Birds will offer steaks, hamburgers and chocolate strawberries.Rock Springs will have Chick-fil-A sandwiches and doughnuts.At the main committee tent Relay shirts and information will be available. A rock wall and giant slide will be in its other sites.Hot Pursuit will have a DNR shooting simulator, a jail cell for ‘bond’ donations, coffee and doughnuts. First Baptist Church will have hamburgers, cheese fries, pickles, Cokes, tea and boiled peanuts. A second team will have a race car and driver pictures.Ebenezer Methodist will offer homemade cakes.Team Derrick will have a dunking booth, Sno-Cones, candy and drinks.The fire department will offer taquitos, funnel cakes, glow necklaces, boiled peanuts and cotton candy.Sisters will offer games, including Bingo.First United Methodist will sell chicken wings.Lilla Memorial Baptist will have tea and lemonade.The Merry Methodists will offer hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and pickles.One Lamar County schools team will have hamburgers and drinks while next door another will offer pictures with cartoon characters Dora, Diego and Spongebob.St. George’s Episcopal School will have hot dogs and S’mores over an open fire.The Gordon Highlanders will sell fresh fruit.Team United, First National Bank and Lamar Hogbor are also on board.Teams have been raising money for weeks. One of the biggest was at BBQ & Blues, where the raffle funds for the Traeger grill was split with Relay.
