Human remains – a skull and assorted bones – found in woods off the MLK bypass here Oct. 9, 2018 have been identified by the GBI crime lab. Sheriff Brad White reported Wednesday the crime lab identified the remains as those of Michael Gregory Stephens of Barnesville. His family has been notified. There was no indication of foul play noted by the crime lab. A potential buyer walking the property found the remains and called in law enforcement.
