Details remain sketchy but there are multiple reports that a man is in jail charged with badly beating a two-month old child at Milner Creek Apartments. The LCSO online jail population report lists a Phillip Luke Norman of 123 Academy Drive in Barnesville as prisoner with the notation that warrants are pending. Sheriff Brad White reported late Tuesday the child was taken to a hospital and the father was being questioned. Neighbors say the child has been airlifted to Egleston with a brain bleed.
