On Tuesday, July 14, 2009 a small part-dachshund, part-terrier was found in a ditch on Route 109 near the Route 18 intersection. A male, un-neutered dog had been hit by a truck and apparently left to perish. He had no tag and no ID of any sort. He appears to be a fighter though as he is on the mend from a broken pelvis. The citizen who found the dog is not willing to return the dog at this point but does want the owner to know he lived, is safe and will have a good home. Consequently, the vet bills have cost more than $300 with more to come.
