Retired general to address vets, public here

The former commander U.S. Army forces in the Pacific theatre of operations will be in Barnesville Sunday and Monday. Lt. Gen. John Brown, now retired, was one of the designers of the World War II Memorial in Washington area vets will visit April 14 as part of the Rotary Club’s Honor Air program. Gen. Brown will do an orientation for the veterans Sunday afternoon, April 11 at First United Methodist Church of Barnesville. The following day, Gen. Brown will address JROTC students. The event is free and open to the public.
