Rev. Dan L. Garrett, 62, of Marietta died suddenly June 26. A native of Nashville, Tn., he was to move to Barnesville this weekend with his wife, Dana Overton-Garrett, the newly-appointed pastor at First United Methodist Church of Barnesville. In addition to his wife, other survivors include: mother, Gladys Simmons Garrett of Donelson, Tn; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Christopher Bullington of Richlands, N.C.; daughter, Katelynn Garrett of Marietta; brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Nancy Garrett of Englewood Co.; a nephew and several cousins. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 30 at Central Congregational Church of Christ in Atlanta.
