Rev. Larry R. English

Reverend Larry Randall English, age 70 of Griffin, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015.Reverend English was born in Milner, Georgia on August 10, 1944. He is preceded in death by his parents, Troy M. English and Doris L. Mullins English; his first wife, Phillis English who passed away on June 7, 2008; sister, Josie English. Reverend English was ordained into the ministry on July 22, 1995 and was a member of Plainview Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, Carol E. English; daughters, Melissa ‘Darlene’ Sheets and husband, Randal of LaGrange, Donna Smith and husband, Bobby of Griffin; step daughter, Shannon Dunn and husband, Lonnie of Canton; grandchildren, Hannah Sheets, Kyle Sheets, Brandon Smith, Tyler Smith and wife, Cayla, Bailey Smith, Jackson Smith, Jeremy Dunn; great-grandchild, Corbin Pursley; brothers, Milton English of Milner, Alton English and wife, Grace of Griffin, Wayne English and wife, Esther of Milner.Visitation for Reverend Larry English will be on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 11:00am at Rock Springs Church. Dr. Benny Tate and Rudy Mangham will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend English will lie-in-state at the church from 10:00am until the funeral hour. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Plainview Baptist Church, P.O.Box 635, Griffin, GA 30224 in memory of Reverend English.
