Griffin Police investigators are asking the public for assistance in the apprehension of Javarious Leondre Verdell in connection with Saturday’s murder of Ivan Matthew Sierra. UPDATE: Verdell was taken into custody at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday in Clayton County after a tip. Murder warrants have been issued for Verdell and he should be considered armed and dangerous. Up to a $2,000 Crime Stoppers reward is being offered. Anyone with contact should call 911.
