Georgia Civil War Commission and Friends of Nash Farm Battlefield is sponsoring Disney’s Great Locomotive Chase, starring Fes Parker, at the Ritz Theatre on Saturday, April 14. This will commemorate the 150th anniversay of the actual event. In addition to that, Disney was able to locate in their vaults an archival 35mm copy of this forgotten film. While others may show a DVD copy, the Ritz will be the only one in the country that will play this rare film. Tickets are only $1.50 per person, with a limited amount of free student tickets available. Period soldiers will be on hand prior to the showing to allow viewers a chance to see uniforms up close and ask questions.
