Major Brad White of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Department has provided dash camera video from a patrol car arriving on the scene of Deputy Jeannie Devane’s crash early Wednesday morning. Devane can be seen prone in the roadway as her patrol car burns. Dustin Elliott is being hailed as a hero for pulling Devane from the burning car and saving her life.
