Chamber of Commerce president Amanda Rose has resigned her position to become director of marketing for PetroSouth in Griffin. Rose informed the chamber board of her plans at Friday’s board meeting.’I am sad to leave because I have put my heart and soul into this job and I am very proud of where the organization is today. I am proud of the board’s work and the hundreds of volunteers because running a Chamber and two major festivals is no small task. I am happy for the opportunities that are ahead and the endless opportunities that life brings,’ Rose told the board.Rose was named Career Woman of the Year and shared the Citizen of the Year award with Missy Kendrick at Thursday’s awards night banquet.For more on this story, see the Feb. 7 edition of The Herald-Gazette.
