The second of this week’s two political forums featuring candidates in contested races on the July 20 ballot is tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Barnesville Civic Center. School board at large candidates Ryran Traylor and Danny Turner will face off. They will be followed to the podium by candidates for seats in Georgia’s House of Representatives. Invited are district 126 incumbent David Knight vs. challenger Bill Mauldin; district 127 incumbent Billy Maddox vs. challenger Spencer Price; and district 125 GOP candidates Mary Alice Carter and Susan Holmes. The forum is sponsored by the Barnesville-Lamar County Chamber of Commerce and Lamar County Farm Bureau.
