A 22-year-old Barnesville man fled a drug court proceeding at the courthouse this morning and is now the subject of a manhunt by local law enforcement.Montavious Rosser ran after the holding cell in which he was being kept was opened at about 11:30 a.m. He had just been sentenced to serve 30 days in jail for violating restrictions previously placed upon him. Sheriff Larry Waller reported late Friday afternoon that investigator Mark Barry had talked with Rosser by phone twice since the escape, encouraging him to turn himself in.”We expect to have him in custody very soon,” the sheriff said.Rosser is described as a black male with a muscular build. He weighs about 175 pounds. He was wearing baggy white jeans and red shoes.Officers said Rosser had been sent to drug rehab twice but left both times. He has known former addresses on Zebulon, Sardis and Akins streets in Barnesville. If you see Rosser, call 911.
