A threat letter, the second in as many days, was received at The Herald Gazette office Friday morning. Today, however, the office is open for business and streets will not be shutdown.Publisher Walter Geiger sealed the unopened letter in a plastic bag. Personnel from the Barnesville Police Department along with sheriff Brad White and his team members responded.The FBI is enroute with another hazmat team but the streets will not be shut down.’We pleaded with the FBI not to shut down the town again in that this is what the suspect wants and it causes too much disruption of daily life. Thankfully, they agreed,” Geiger said.At 3:30 p.m., the hazmat team cleared the area. The FBI seized the letter and the all clear was sounded.
