Sellier funeral arrangements finalized

Funeral arrangements for Rep. Tony Sellier have been finalized. Sellier, who died Wednesday of congestive heart failure following complications from a recent surgical procedure, represented the Redbone district of Lamar County in the state legislature. He was 65. Funeral services will be held Saturday. Gov. Sonny Perdue has ordered flags at all state buildings and grounds lowered to half-staff that day. Two visitation sessions are set for Friday at the Byron Municipal Complex. The first will be held from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.. The second is set for 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary after the second session. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. at St. Juliana’s Catholic Church in Fort Valley. The family has requested donations to the American Cancer Society in Sellier’s honor. He had suffered with throat cancer.
