Serial robber may have hit two stores

The Crossroads convenience store at the intersection of Highways 18 and 341 was robbed late Friday night and city police think the thief may be the same black male who hit Flash Foods earlier this month. ’The suspect has similar characteristics to the man who robbed Flash Foods a week ago. Both had on masks and both had socks on their hands,’ Barnesville police investigator Al Moltrum said. The suspect in the 10:58 p.m. robbery is about five feet, nine inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. Investigators are also seeking information on a second black male as a witness or possible suspect. Surveillance video also captured a picture of a vehicle that may have been used as a getaway car. Those who have information may call Moltrum at 770-358-1244.
