Sheriff’s Report

In the past week, the Lamar County sheriff’s office made the following arrests: Michael Edward Parker Jr., 26, Barnesville, weaving over roadway and DUI less safe; Amy Christina Campbell, 24, Thomaston, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, two counts no seat belt and traffic misdemeanor; Antonio Bernard Browner, 19, Barnesville, no charges listed; Ted William Garmon, 51, Gainesville, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; Justin Rick Garmon, 27, Homer, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; Antonio Lewis Smiley, 32, Hinesville, under investigation; Demetrius Yarnell Smith, 35, Smyrna, trafficking in cocaine, marijuana and illegal drugs; Stephanie Marie Williams, 44, Barnesville, driving without a license; Cecil Kirk Patrick, 41, Griffin, failure to appear and deposit account fraud; Patrick McCollum Gaultney, 22, Yatesville, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, fleeing and attempting to elude, open container and speeding; Kevin Eugene Morrow, 32, Lester, N.C., possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and weaving over roadway; Rodney Jerome Harris, 20, no address given, speeding; Nancy Elaine Blackstock, 45, Newborn, drugs not in original container and failure to maintain lane; Dontavious Jammal Collins, 18, Griffin, possession of alcoholic beverage under age 21 and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. Deputies answered 152 calls and the 911 center answered 95. Deputies responded to 25 calls, the Barnesville police department to 18 calls, Lamar County fire department to 22, Barnesville fire department to five and Mid Georgia ambulance service to 19. There were 12 accidents. Deputies issued 27 traffic citations and served 22 warrants, and 12 subpoenas or civil papers.
