Sheriff’s Report

Between Monday, Jan. 16, and Thursday, Jan. 19, the Lamar County sheriff’s office made two arrests:Timothy Cagle, 50, Griffin, obstruction of an officer and disorderly conduct;Deron Ben Williamson, 48, Barnesville, theft by taking.Deputies answered 107 calls and the 911 center answered 43. Deputies responded to 14 calls, the Barnesville police department to five, Lamar County firefighters to seven, the Barnesville fire department to one and Mid Georgia Ambulance to 30. There were five accidents and deputies issued 10 traffic citations.
