Sheriff’s Report

Between Saturday, Sept. 15 and Friday, Sept. 21, the Lamar County sheriff’s office made the following arrests: Scott Allen Wilson, 46, Thomaston, serving time; Arnecia Lashay Townsell, 19, Albany, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana; Jose Garcia Torres, 36, Griffin, driving without a license and windshield violation; Ernie Lee Pearson, 42, Griffin, DUI alcohol and speeding; Jacob Slentz Calhoun, 42, Griffin, arrested for another agency; Dylan Tyler Smith, 18, Milner, probation violation; Jason William Sims, 33, Griffin, simple battery, passing in a no passing zone, driving while license suspended or revoked, DUI alcohol and two counts family violence simple assault; Tony Ray McDowell, 49, Milner, simple battery; Jessica Lynette Simmons, 22, Barnesville, criminal trespass; Edwin Wayne Harris Jr., 19, Barnesville, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana; Macie Youman, 30, Ellenwood, arrested for another agency; Shannon Gallman, 22, Milner, arrested for another agency; Jonah Jerome Riley, 18, Milner, drugs not in original container, possession, manufacture or distribution of drugs within 1,000 feet of a school and manufacture, sale or distribution of schedule I and II drugs; Bryant Antonio Lucas, 30, Barnesville, driving while license suspended or revoked, giving false name or information to police, no insurance and other charges; Crystal Marie Pierce, 24, Barnesville, probation violation; Stephanie Nicole Bell, 26, Milner, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana; Willie Floyd Perdue, 42, Barnesville, terroristic threats and acts; William Jason Nichols, 31, Barnesville, criminal attempt and probation violation; Calvin Lamar Davis, 47, Decatur, child support; Jeffrey Michael Powers, 39, Jonesboro, child support; Timothy Tyrone Hughley, 44, Barnesville, two counts obstruction of an officer, driving while license suspended or revoked, weaving over roadway, failure to stop for stop sign, fleeing or attempting to elude police, two counts DUI alcohol, reckless driving and false imprisonment. Deputies answered 139 calls and the 911 center answered 105. Deputies responded to 27 calls, the Barnesville police department to 24, Lamar County firefighters to 30, the Barnesville fire department to three and Mid-Georgia Ambulance to 64. There were seven accidents. Deputies served three warrants and issued 11 traffic citations.
