Sheriff’s Report

Between Saturday, Dec. 15, and Thursday, Dec. 20, the Lamar County sheriff’s office made the following arrests: Robert Charles Darnell, 37, Barnesville, probation violation; Stephen Russell Suddeth, 47, Barnesville, public drunkenness; Angela Suddeth, 44, Barnesville, obstruction of an officer and public drunkenness; Daniel Toy Johnson, 62, no residence given, crossing guard lines with weapons and pending warrants; Chad Brian Ogletree, 32, Thomaston, obstruction of an officer, two counts cruelty to children and family violence simple assault; Cody Ray Kahler, 24, Milner, parole violation; Omar Centrail Banks, 28, Barnesville, probation violation; Christopher J. Kump, 43, Griffin, in for court; Montez Rayshard Parks, 31, Griffin, in for court; Carl Edward Bynes, 28, Barnesville, disorderly conduct and warrants pending; Luther Kevin Shortt, 40, Barnesville, family violence battery and two counts cruelty to children; Matthew Brandon Phillips, 22, Griffin, four counts aggravated assault, serious injury by vehicle, fleeing and attempting to elude police and other charges. Deputies answered 102 calls and the 911 center answered 69. Deputies responded to 18 calls, the Barnesville police department to 17, Lamar County firefighters to 17, the Barnesville fire department to one and Mid-Georgia Ambulance to 42. There were 12 accidents. Deputies served three warrants and issued seven citations.
