Sheriff’s Report

Between Friday, Feb. 15, and Thursday, Feb. 21, the Lamar County sheriff’s office made the following arrests: Rachel Lynn Sanders, 40, Griffin, probation violation; Samuel Walter McGuoirk, 37, Griffin, serving time; Melanie Anne Mayers, 48, Barnesville, arrested for another agency; Fredrick Lagarius Freeman, 22, Milner, probation violation; Nina Marie Heddleston, 31, Barnesville, failure to appear; Sonja Aisha Marquez, 27, Griffin, serving time; Tony Anthony Moreland, 55, Griffin, serving time; Freddie Eugene Whetstone, 32, Griffin, serving time; Anthony Leshawn Jones, 37, Griffin, serving time; Taylor Mae Chandler, 20, Barnesville, consumption, purchase, furnishing or sale of alcoholic beverage under age 21; Edmond Zack Pasley, 23, Thomaston, DUI alcohol, tag light violation and speeding; Derrick Keith Ross, 42, College Park, speeding, open container and DUI less safe; Samuel Dexter Leach, 36, Griffin, driving while license suspended or revoked and other charges; Scott Everette McCormick, 40, Milner, disorderly conduct; Omar Centrail Banks, 28, contempt of court; Deaundray Demario Harris, 22, no residence given, probation violation; Dafanza Barber, 41, McDonough, driving while license suspended or revoked, fleeing and attempting to elude police and weaving over roadway; Jennifer Delane Greene, 45, Barnesville, public drunkenness; Bryan Gregory Gable, 25, Milner, interference with custody; Ronnie Dean Spence Sr., 47, Orchard Hill, possession, sale, purchase or manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm or knife during a crime or attempt to commit a crime and possession of a drug related object; Paul Eugene Justus, 33, Meansville, possession, sale, purchase or manufacture of meth, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a drug related object and possession of a firearm or knife during a crime or attempt to commit a crime; Jeffrey Morris Tucker, 45, McDonough, possession, sale, purchase or manufacture of meth, possession of a firearm or knife during a crime or attempt to commit a crime, possession of a drug related object and traffic misdemeanor; Christopher Ryan Thacker, 21, Molena, tag light violation and driving while license suspended or revoked.  Deputies answered 159 calls and the 911 Center answered 82. Deputies responded to 20 calls, the Barnesville police department to 20, Lamar firefighters to 17, Barnesville fire department to four and Mid-Georgia Ambulance Service to 47. There were 13 accidents. Deputies served 11 warrants and issued 34 traffic citations.
