Sheriff’s Report

Between Friday, March 22, and Thursday, March 28, the Lamar County sheriff’s office made the following arrests: Adam Joseph Baxley, 19, McDonough, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and speeding; Maria de Jesus Perez-Lopez, 46, Thomaston, driving without a license; Danny Roy Hicks, 49, Griffin, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; Dustin Lee McPherson, 30, Barnesville, child support; Corinthian Maurice King, 22, Jacksonville, Fla., Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana; Anthony Eugene Bell, 26, Riviera Beach, Fla., possession, manufacture, sale and purchase of marijuana, window tint violation and covering plate; Janay Sandra Thornton, 17, Barnesville, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana; Reginald Ellis Smith, 37, Barnesville, driving while license suspended or revoked; Omar Centrail Banks, 28, Barnesville, probation violation; Jerry L. Napier, 44, no residence given, arrested for another agency; Christopher Deonte Williams, 22, Barnesville, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana; Akevious Ishae Wilkerson, 18, Barnesville, theft by taking. Deputies answered 149 calls and the 911 center answered 77. Deputies responded to 16 calls, the Barnesville police department to 21, Lamar County firefighters to 15, the Barnesville fire department to four and Mid-Georgia Ambulance to 38. There were 11 accidents. Deputies served three warrants and issued 28 citations.
