Sheriff’s Report

Between Friday, July 19, and Thursday, July 25, the Lamar County sheriff’s office made the following arrests: Aaron Craig Caraway, 16, Barnesville, two counts child molestation and four counts aggravated child molestation; Robert Dallas Blackmon, 39, Forsyth, serving time; Michael Joseph Dills, 69, Griffin, serving time; Timothy Allen Curtis, 28, Griffin, serving time; Thomas Michael Goolsby, 41, Griffin, drugs not in original container, driving while license suspended or revoked and other charges; Edwin Wayne Harris Jr., 20, Barnesville, disorderly conduct and obstruction of an officer; Justen Shannard Sullivan, 24, Barnesville, disorderly conduct and obstruction of an officer; Christopher Joseph Artz, 41, Milner, child support; Lavonia Keepler, 59, Barnesville, 6 counts deposit account fraud; Jonathan Keith Williams, 41, Barnesville, manufacture, sale or distribution of schedule I and II drugs; Travis Jacob Dupree, 23, Griffin, criminal trespass and giving false name and information to police; Jason Christopher Bates, 34, no residence given, bench warrant; Robert Maxwell McLanahan, 53, Barnesville, reckless conduct and simple battery; Christian Armand Braswell, 26, Macon, arrested for another agency; Nicholas Xavier Nelson, 20, Decatur, contempt of court; Christopher Michael Dion, 35, Marietta, warrants pending, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a drug related object and reckless driving. Deputies answered 130 calls and the 911 center answered 105. Deputies responded to 30 calls, the Barnesville police department to 37, Lamar firefighters to 26, Barnesville fire department to four and Mid-Georgia Ambulance to 54. There were eight accidents. Deputies served three warrants and issued eight traffic citations.
