Sheriff’s report

Between Friday, August 27 and Thursday, September 2 the following were processed through the Lamar County jail:

Timothy Eugene Allen, 58, homeless, probation violation;

Mandrickas Jontail Buckner, 36, Barnesville, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession and use of drug related objects and possession of a controlled substance;

Kyeria Kendra Byrd, 21, McDonough, probation violation;

Calvin Jolley, 59, Culloden, simple battery;

Timothy Douglas Maddox, 38, Thomaston, child support lockup order;

Travis Lael Mercer, 40, Barnesville, four counts possession of firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit felonies, four counts reckless conduct, two counts cruelty to children, three counts aggravated assault and criminal attempt to commit a felony;

Doug Thomas Minyard, 56, Forsyth, failure to appear;

Kayla Lee Owens, 30, Griffin, serving time;

Benny Charles Paige, 47, Griffin, possession of firearm by convicted felon, disorderly conduct and obstruction of officers;

Jhanay Edna Mae Roach, 21, Barnesville, housed for Spalding County;

John Gregory Tiedman, 34, Douglasville, serving time;

Melissa Lieane Walton, 32, Barnesville, VGCSA less than an ounce and headlight violation;

Matthew Cody Watkins, 35, Griffin, probation violation;

Willie Lewis Watkins, 50, Barnesville, two counts failure to appear, reckless driving, obstruction, giving false name to officer, operating restrictions for off-road vehicle and disorderly;

Tamra Lynn Winn, 30, Summerville, probation violation.

Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies answered 94 calls.          

Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 14 911 calls.

Lamar County Fire Fighters responded to 50 911 calls. Barnesville Fire Fighters responded to three 911 calls.       

Community Ambulance Service responded to 84 calls. 

There were seven accidents.  

Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies served six state warrants.                

Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies issued 21 traffic citations.
