Sheriff’s Report

Between Saturday, Dec. 10 and Friday, Dec. 17, the Lamar County sheriff’s office made the following arrests: Larry Todd Williams, 21, of Griffin, marijuana/possession less than an ounce/misdemeanor; Shelby Cheri Faircloth, 22, Cataula, speeding, weaving over roadway, open container, DUI/alcohol; Dustin Richard Lee, 19, Sopherton, criminal soliciation, theft/extortion, terroristic threats and acts, battery, false imprisonment, riot, criminal solicitation, theft/extortion; Christy Michelle Turner, 28, Barnesville, DUI/alcohol, limited drive permit violation, disorderly conduct and probation violation; Jamaine Lamar Lemons, 26, Sparta, marijuana/posession of less than an ounce; Christopher Todd Rice, 35, Doyle, VGCSA – drugs in original container, marijuana/possession of less than an ounce, expired or no license on person, weaving over roadway, possession of methamphetamine; Justin Kyle Taunton, 23, Butler, theft by taking; Johnny Dwayne Flournoy, 20, Barnesville, warrants pending; Christina Lynn Hill, 24, Milner, no charges given; Christopher Lee Piper, 19, Milner, theft by taking; Tonya Renee Herring, 41, Forsyth, serving jail time; Lawona Shelandria Zellner, 24, Forsyth, serving jail time; Freddy Wayne Tanner, 27, Milner, marijuana/possession less than ounce, windshields/front door cracked /tinted. Deputies answered 104 calls and the 911 center answered 83. Deputies responded to 23 calls, the Barnesville police department to 19 calls, Lamar County fire department to 25, Barnesville fire department to one and Mid Georgia ambulance service to 35. There were eight accidents. Deputies issued 22 traffic citations and served 17 warrants and 11 subpoenas or civil papers.
