Sheriff’s report

Between Saturday, Dec. 18, and Friday, Dec. 24, the Lamar County sheriff’s office made the following arrests: Kevin Roy Pippin, 38, Culloden, aggravated battery, obstructing or hindering a 911 call, false imprisonment, two counts family violence battery, two counts terroristic threats and acts and aggravated assault; Ernesto Lopez-Herrera, 33, Barnesville, DUI alcohol; Brandon Chase Lynch, 19, Milner, obstruction of an officer; Jeremy Michael Reeves, 35, Morgan, probation violation; Jennifer Marie Medders, 28, Jackson, under investigation; James Lofton Busby III, 34, Jackson, possession, sale, purchase or manufacture of methamphetamine, drugs not in original container, driving while license suspended or revoked, tag violation, no proof of insurance, obstruction of an officer and possession of drug-related object. Deputies answered 102 calls and the 911 center answered 75. Deputies responded to 19 calls, the Barnesville police department responded to 21, Lamar County fire department to 20, Barnesville fire department to one and Mid Georgia Ambulance to 35. There were 11 accidents. Deputies issued 23 traffic citations and served 18 warrants and eight subpoenas or civil papers.
