Witnesses heard four shots. Unconfirmed reports identified the shooter as Lee Sykes. The investigation centers on two homes located at 403 and 405 Atlanta Street. Barnesville Police Department investigator Al Moltrum said neither the shooter or those shot suffered life-threatening injuries. Neighbors reported constant problems with residents of the crime-ridden housing projects behind the homes there cutting through their yards. One neighbor said Sykes was badly beaten and had his finger nearly bitten off. ”People are crazy,” Moltum said.
