As the Christmas shopping season nears an end, we here at The Herald-Gazette encourage you to support your local merchants. They need your business. We lost another over the weekend as The Country Kitchen restaurant, a Lamar County fixture for generations, closed its doors. So, save time, hassle and gas by shopping locally.
