Sites keynotes G&F banquet

Television host, author and pastor Jimmy Sites will deliver the keynote address at the 16th annual Barnesville Game & Fish Banquet set for Friday, January 27 at First Baptist Church here. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with free, 50-minute seminars. DNR ranger Keith Page will be back with the hunting simulator. Pro fisherman Tim Perkins will lead a session on bass fishing. Scott Turner will expound on muzzleloading then and now while Michelle Perkins will speak on river kayaking for women. The dinner will begin at 7 p.m. in the church gym. Tickets are $10 each and are on sale now at Hamrick’s Sporting Goods, Akins Farm & Home and the FBC office. Sites is the host of the national, award-winning television series ‘Spiritual Outdoor Adventures’ which is now in its ninth season and reaches 68 million households across the nation. He is former senior pastor at one of the largest churches in Nashville, Tennessee. He and John Smoltz recently shared testimonies at faith night hosted by the Atlanta Braves which observers termed the Sermon on the Mound. He and his team won the grand championship at the Big Buck Outdoor Games in 2009 where they competed against the top pro hunters and fishermen in the world. As an elite level bow hunter, Sites has dozens of product endorsements. The banquet menu includes barbecue pork, smoked deer hams and fried fish. Over 75 door prizes will be given away.
