Into the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker, add the sliced onion, sliced garlic and chicken broth.2. In a small bowl, mix together all spices: brown sugar, chili powder, salt, cumin, paprika, cinnamon and pepper.3. Pat the pork shoulder dry using paper towels, then rub the seasoning mix coating all sides. Place the shoulder in the slow cooker, cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the meat is very tender.4. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred with two forks, removing any bone or large chunks of fat. Strain the onions from the slow cooker, and set the juices aside. Mix onions and shredded pork together.5. If serving the pulled pork for tacos or to eat on its own, slowly add a few tablespoons of the removed juices at a time until the meat is juicy and moist. Alternatively, add in a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce.
