Smacktalk: Jags vow to hang 50 on Trojans

Multiple reports emanating from nearby Griffin have the Spalding High Jaguars ‘promising’ to score at least 50 points on the Lamar County Trojans Friday night in the first ever game played at Trojan Field. Spalding defeated Lamar 47-15 in last year’s season opener but scored the majority of those points off Trojan turnovers. Regardless, the Jags have now provided coach Jason Strickland’s team with some bulletin board material. We suggest you buy your tickets in advance and enjoy Friday night’s Blueout to see if the Jags can put their points where their mouths are. Advance tickets will be available at the high school, middle school, school system central office building and at Main Street Medical Supplies in downtown Barnesville. Advance tickets will go on sale on Thursday mornings prior to Friday night home games. Advance sales will end at 1 p.m. Fridays. Advance tickets are $5. Tickets at the gate are $7.
