After sentencing convicted killer Ronald Eugene Smith to life plus 20 years in prison last week for the murder of Charles Grave Adams, Judge Tommy Wilson ordered DFACS into the home of Smith’s wife, Beth, to check on hazards to their children from drug abuse in the home. In the second of two statements given to the GBI following the murder, Ronald Smith said he and his wife enjoyed a night of porn films and drug-fueled sex in the hours before he shot Adams in the face with a Remington 30-.06 rifle he acquired from Jason Finch. Smith told investigators he smoked and injected meth but his wife only smoked the drug.
