Accused killer Ronald Smith was reindicted by the December term grand jury on charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime, receipt, possession or transfer of a firearm by a convicted felon and tampering with evidence. District attorney Richard Milam reported Monday the reindictment was for strategic purposes.
