Drivers were losing control, though none crashed, on the railroad bridge on Old Highway 41 north of Milner which had frozen solid. County crews moved in with a spreader truck loaded with sand and addressed the issue. At dusk, the bridges on Highway 41 near Milner and at Aldora had not been treated and were very slick. Use caution will driving across any bridge. Roads are wet. The temperature at 6:15 p.m. was 29 degrees. It will drop to 20 overnight with wind chills of 10 degrees. Untreated roads will freeze. Driving will be hazardous even in four-wheel drive vehicles. If you are not home, get home. If you are at home, stay there. Sunshine and temperatures expected to rise to above freezing at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday will drastically improve driving conditions. Report hazards you encounter in the comments section.
