Soccer teams see plenty of action during September

Lamar recreation soccer teams saw plenty of action during the last days of September. Saturday, Sept. 26 The U8 Lamar Knights lost to the Pike Fury 6-2. Scoring for Lamar was Tionna Thomas and Sam MacWilliams with one goal each. The U10 Lamar Heat Wave defeated the Griffin Hawks 6-5. Adam Basso scored three goals, Wade Castleberry made two and Charles Adkerson scored one. The U10 Lady Panthers lost to Pike Leopards 7-2. Scoring for the Panthers were Katelyn O’Conner and Skylar Bedgood. The U10 Attack defeated the Pike Tigers 7-2. Scoring were Micheal Tenney and Winfred Dixon with hat tricks and Trey Hammond with one goal. The U12 Lamar Waves defeated the Clayton County Storm 3-2. Amber Castleberry scored two goals and Alexis Welch scored the winning goal in the last few seconds of the game. The U12 Lamar Lighting defeated the Sacred Heart Vikings 7-3.  Chand-ler Bingham, Arturo Lopez, Jacob Ma-son, Payne Ogletree and Sam Wilson all had goals. Steve Lopez scored two. Josh Wall played great in the goal and Ben Seleb played great defense. Trevor James and William Smith-Thomas gave great support on offense. The U14 Lamar Attack defeated Middle Georgia 4-0. Katherine Black-mon, Katie Jo Daniel, May Melton Geiger and Sydney Tenney each scored a goal. The U19 United lost to the Peachtree City Fire 9-4. Travis Andrews had a hat trick and Jose Garcia scored a goal. Sunday Sept. 27 The U12 Lighting lost to Sacred Heart 4-1. Scoring for Lighting was Arturo Lopez. Monday, Sept. 28 The Lamar Panthers lost to the Griffin L. Quest 9-6. Scoring for the Panthers were Katelyn O’Conner with four goals and Livia Lanier Geiger with two. Tuesday, Sept. 29 The U8 Storm defeated the Knights 13-0. Roy and Daniel Guzman scored double hat tricks and Ryla Traylor scored a goal.
