Montine K. Sorrells, 83, of Macon passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012. Funeral services were held at 12 noon, Friday, Feb. 3 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Eric Byrd officiated. The family met friends from 11 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Sorrells, daughter of the late Edward Jack Keadle and Pearl S. Means Keadle, was born in Barnesville and had lived in Macon most of her life. She had worked at Dannenberg’s, Davison’s and Peeler Hardware. Mrs. Sorrells was a former member of Cherokee Heights United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Ann (John) Mercer of Raeford, N.C.; her son, John Paul Sorrells of Jefferson, Ga.; her grandson, Eric (Melissa) Lemke of Zeeland, Mich.; three great grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan and Savannah Lemke of Zeeland, Mich., and her sister, Dorothy Dean Coursey of Fayetteville, Ga.
