High winds and soggy ground resulted in downed trees and power lines overnight and SRE crews are battling cold, windy conditions to restore power for affected members.
FROM ERIN COOK, SRE (9:15 a.m. Jan. 3, 2022):
We have more than 1300 outages across all nine counties in our service area, with roughly 170 in Lamar County. The high winds and saturated ground are downing trees across power lines and have broken two poles.
Crews are working as quickly as possible but we ask everyone to please bepatient. Accessing some areas where the ground is extremely soggy can be challenging with heavy trucks.
