SPOOKTACULAR: Mulitple Halloween events on tap; trick-or-treat in Barnesville is Monday

Multiple Halloween and associated events are on tap here this weekend and ongoing.

The Pumpkin Promenade, sponsored by Lamar Arts, is ongoing Friday and Saturdays from 4-7 p.m. through Oct. 28 at the Depot Gallery. The event features pumpkin carving and painting. Cost is $12.


The Milner Library will host its Harvest Festival Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Info: 770.358.5063.


The City of Milner will host a Fall-o-Ween Fest Oct. 29 from 5-8 p.m. at city park. It will feature a costume contest, cornhole, trunk-or-treat and a photo station. Info: 770.358.1604.

Six-year-old Eriana Shannon is literally climbing the walls in anticipation of the Halloween trick-or-treat extravaganza along Barnesville’s Thomaston Street corridor. The year’s largest candy redistribution effort will be held on Monday, Oct. 31 but there are multiple events this weekend as well. (See story below.) First Baptist Church of Barnesville will host a Fall Festival Oct. 30 from 5-7 p.m. Info: 770.358.2353.


The Dolly Goodpuppy Society will host its first All Howls Eve HarvestFest Sunday, Oct. 30 from noon-6 p.m. at Summers Field Park. There will be game stations for dogs, photo booth, food trucks and a costume contest for dogs and owners. Info: dollygoodpuppy.org.


Last but not least, Barnesville will host is mammoth trick-or-treat event on Monday, Oct. 31 along the Thomaston Street corridor. Info: 770.358.0181.
