Cayla Bishop and Aishja Wilcher hit back-to-back inside-the-park homers to complete an improbable come-from-behind win as Lamar County edged Taylor County 12-11 in the second round of the Dixie Darling State Tournament in Butler Saturday morning. Taylor County led 8-3 when the game was suspended Friday night due to lightning. Lamar advances in the winner’s bracket to take on Jones County, the only other unbeaten team in the double elmination tournament. The winner will be in the driver’s seat in the quest to reach the World Series in Denison, Tx.
