Last night’s storms knocked out power to some 3000 Southern Rivers Energy customers and more bad weather is on the way.UPDATE: All power has been restored.Dangerous storm activity is possible here late this afternoon and overnight.UPDATE: SRE crews worked steadily all morning to completely restore power for members by 12:30 p.m. Due to some technical issues the live outage viewer on the website is still reporting some outages. A second round of storms is expected tonight so members are encouraged to be prepared. The majority of the outages were spread across Meriwether, Pike and Lamar counties. The remaining outages are concentrated in Pike and Lamar but crews are working steadily to restore power for everyone as quickly as possible. Members are encouraged to call the Outage Hotline at 1-866-244-4890 to report outages. Updates will be posted hourly on southernriversenergy.com, Facebook and Twitter.
