Dustin Joel Stevens, age 33, of 239 Westin Park Drive, Locust Grove, Georgia was arrested on Saturday, April 11, 2015. He was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Reckless Conduct and Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer. Stevens is being held in the Spalding County Jail without bond. The arrest followed an incident that occurred on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at approximately 11:00 a.m. Stevens was a rear seat passenger in a vehicle traveling south on U.S. Highway 19/41 near the intersection of Williamson Road in Spalding County. A handgun that Stevens had discharged and struck the front seat passenger in the back. The victim, Amber Faye Andrews, age 21 of Jackson, Georgia was treated at the Spalding Regional Hospital and later transported by Air Ambulance to the Atlanta Medical Center. She is listed in stable condition as of April 14, 2015.
