Suspect being questioned in Griffin bomb threat

Griffin police responded Friday to a report of a pipe bomb being placed in the parking deck at the City of Griffin offices at 100 South Hill St. downtown. A person of interest was identified at the scene and was being questioned by investigators at 4:30 p.m. Officers at the scene decided to evacuate the offices and the parking deck. Griffin officers along with a bomb sniffing K9 unit from Clayton County, cleared the area. No bomb was found and the all clear has been sounded.
