An 18-year-old Barnesville man has been arrested and faces multiple charges in connection with a shooting on Greenwood Street Friday night that left a man seriously injured.
Cameron Eleby was arrested the night of the shooting when he was seen running from the scene at 11:15 p.m. He was arrested then and charged with two counts obstruction but released over the weekend.
BPD investigators interviewed the 28-year-old victim, who underwent a six-hour surgery and was fitted with a colostomy bag, Monday at a Macon hospital and later took warrants for Eleby. He is back in jail facing additional charges of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, reckless conduct and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
