By Kay PedrottiMore than 100 members of the legal profession in the Griffin and Towaliga Judicial Circuits, friends and family gathered Aug. 15 at the Upson County courthouse to honor the late Tamara Jacobs Bell.Bell died Thursday, July 29, 2010 after a prolonged battle with cancer but she continued to work until ‘just days before she died,’ said her friend Allen Adams, assistant public defender in the Griffin circuit.’Tammy was a true heroine for justice who lived her life for others,’ Adams added. ‘She was absolutely dedicated to her clients, devoted to family and a blessing to the circuits.’
